Abstract: Objective To explore the potential profile of two-way social support in elderly peritoneal dialysis patients and to analyze the influencing factors,to facilitate their social reintegration and improve their quality of life. Methods? Using convenient sampling, 342 elderly peritoneal dialysis patients from three public hospitals were selected as research subjects between March 2025 and July 2025,The general information questionnaire, two-way social support scale ( B2WSSS ), quality of life scale ( SF-36 ) and Xinsheng scale were used to investigate. Mplus8.3 software was used to analyze the potential profile of two-way social support in elderly peritoneal dialysis patients , and multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of different potential categories. Results? The two-way social support of elderly peritoneal dialysis patients can be divided into three potential categories : low acceptance-sparing pay negative weariness group ( 25.44 % ), medium acceptance-self-reliance group ( 49.12 %), high acceptance-happy pay full optimism group ( 25.44 % ). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that dialysis age, substandard monitoring indicators, complications, exuberance of heart, physical health, mental health and health changes were the influencing factors of two-way social support in elderly peritoneal dialysis patients ( all P < 0.05 ). Conclusion? The two-way social support of elderly patients with peritoneal dialysis has obvious heterogeneity. Peritoneal dialysis medical staff should identify its characteristics and its profile, and carry out targeted intervention.
