Abstract: Objective ?To observe the clinical effectiveness of Homologous Acupuncture Therapy based on the Yangyuantongluo theory in the treatment of hemiplegia after stroke.?Methods A total of 120 patients with hemiplegia after stroke were randomly divided into a treatment group (receiving homologous point acupuncture therapy) and a control group (receiving traditional acupuncture therapy), with 60 patients in each group.Evaluations were conducted before and after 4 weeks of treatment: the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) for neurological function, the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) for muscle tone, and the Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) for motor function. Results Both groups showed a decrease in NIHSS scores and an increase in FMA scores, with the magnitude of change being more pronounced in the treatment group compared to the control group (P<0.05). MAS scores in the treatment group demonstrated a declining trend, while those in the control group showed a slight increase, and the two groups?differed significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion When it comes to treating hemiplegia after stroke, Homologous Acupuncture Therapy based on the Yangyuantongluo theory demonstrates better clinical efficacy compared to traditional acupuncture.
