Abstract: Alzheimers Disease (AD) is a common clinical central nervous system degenerative disease.Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) holds that its core lesion location is in the brain, which is associated with dysfunction of the five zang organs (e.g., spleen and kidney). The kidney serves as the innate foundation, while the spleen is the acquired source; deficiency of the spleen and kidney is the key pathogenesis of AD. This article adopts the theory of simultaneous treatment of the spleen and kidney for AD, establishing the therapeutic approach of taking invigorating the spleen, tonifying the kidney, and refreshing the brain as the fundamental principle, supplemented by resolving phlegm and activating blood circulation. It explores the application of this theory in AD treatment, aiming to provide a new practical direction for clinical practice.
