Abstract: This article aims to explore the impact of Northwest Dryness Syndrome on Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection. By analyzing the constitutional characteristics of Northwest Dryness Syndrome, namely external dryness and internal dampness, constitutional deficiency with excessive pathogenic factors, and its association with regions exhibiting high Hp infection rates, this research theoretically elucidates the core pathogenesis. It posits that in the context of Northwest Dryness Syndrome, the invasion of dryness pathogen depletes healthy qi, while dietary preferences contribute to dampness-heat formation. These factors collectively lead to a pathological state characterized by healthy qi deficiency and internal accumulation of dampness-heat, thereby increasing susceptibility to Hp infection. This study provides an integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine perspective for understanding the regional factors influencing Hp infection and offers a theoretical foundation for region-specific prevention and treatment strategies.
