Research Progress on the Role of Cell Division Cycle Associated 4 (CDCA4) in Tumors

    Abstract: CDCA4 (Cell Division Cycle Associated 4, HEPP/SEI-3/TRIP-Br3) is a protein-coding gene belonging to the SEI family. This gene plays a crucial role in various cellular physiological processes such as cell cycle regulation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis by modulating the transcriptional activity of target genes like p53, E2F, and JUN. To date, numerous domestic and international studies have confirmed that CDCA4 exhibits abnormal expression in various tumors. Its expression shows an upward trend in multiple malignant tumors such as lung cancer, breast cancer, and gastric cancer, and is associated with the biological functions of these tumors, including proliferation and invasion. This article discusses the research progress on the role of CDCA4 in tumors.
