Research on standardized methods of Chinese concepts for clinical research

  Abstract: Objective: Medical terminology is characterized by wide distribution, large quantity, and complex word formation, which lead to difficulties in the dissemination of medical knowledge and low interoperability of test results among different hospitals. How to standardize medical terminology to improve the quality and efficiency of medical services has become an urgent requirement for medical informatization.Methods: This paper proposes a LOINC-based standardized method for Chinese medical terminology. The methodology consists of two key steps: constructing a standardized clinical terminology dataset, and developing a terminology mapping algorithm based on BM25, ultimately establishing a comprehensive terminology standardization solution for clinical research.Conclusions: The method achieved a mapping accuracy rate of 73.04% on the annotated dataset published as a healthcare industry standard, demonstrating its feasibility for medical terminology standardization and providing technical support for improving healthcare data interoperability and service efficiency.
