One case report of lymphoepithelial carcinoma in lacrimal sac and literature review

  Abstract: ABSTRACT:Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of lymphothelial carcinoma(LEC) primarily in lacrimal sac,so as to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease.Methods:We analyzed One case report of lymphoepithelial carcinoma in lacrimal sac and reviewed relevant articles.Results:The patient in this case primarily in the left lacrimal sac,with in situ hybridization EBER positive,EBV-DNA negative,and no neck lymph nodes metastasis.Be reated by surgical resection and postoperative radiotherapy.After 4 years review, assessment in stable condition,and has good quality of life.Conclusion:The primary lymphoepithelial carcinoma in the orbital lacrimal sac is extremely rare and may be related to Epstein Barr virus. Nasopharyngeal and other metastatic sites should be excluded during diagnosis, the standard diagnosis and treatment procedures still need to be supported by large sample data.
