Construction and Application of Progressive Case Base in the teaching of medical genetics

    Abstract: Objective:To explore the construction method and application effect of progressive teaching case base of medical genetics.Methods:The selection criteria of cases in case base were established, and the relevant typical clinical cases were collected, selected, classified, sorted according to basic genetics, disease genetics, clinical genetics, and made to form a case base for teaching of medical genetics.The effective of case base application was evaluated by means of score analysis and questionnaire survey. Results:A total of 60 cases were completed, involving knowledge point case, topic discussion case and clinical comprehensive case.???? The average total score of the experimental group is higher than that in control group,and the rate of excellence and good of experimental group are all higher than that in control group,and the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05); A student self-evaluation was conducted after the course ends,a score of 3.5 points or more indicates that this teaching mode helps improve students’ abilities in scientific research and other aspects. Conclusion:The construction and application of progressive teaching case base is beneficial to inspire students’ exploratory consciousness, to promote the deep integration of theory and clinical practice , to enhance students’ job competence.
