Application of pathogen targeting sequencing in the diagnosis of HIV combined with pulmonary infection

    Abstract: Abstract There are many pathogens of AIDS-related lung infection,and early identification of pathogens plays a crucial role in the treatment of the disease. Traditional pathogen detection methods are time-consuming,sensitive and inefficient. Compared with tNGS, mNGS has the disadvantages of long detection time,high cost and poor clinical applicability. tNGS,as an emerging pathogen detection method,can realize DNA and RNA co-detection,shorten time and cost,not be affected by human genome,accurately target detection,meet the needs of clinical detection,and solve the precise diagnosis and treatment of clinical infection. By comparing tNGS with traditional etiological tests and mNGS,this paper describes the application of tNGS in bacteria,fungi,viruses,etc,aiming to analyze the value of tNGS in the diagnosis of pulmonary infection in HIV-infected patients and provide reference for its clinical application.
