Abstract: Under the concept of enhanced recovery, postoperative hospital stays for orthopedic patients have been shortened, shifting rehabilitation responsibilities to the home environment and heightening the demand for extended care. Traditional extended care models face limitations such as temporal and spatial constraints and high costs. With the rapid advancement of information technology, mobile health technology has emerged as a key solution to address these limitations, offering numerous conveniences and potential applications for medical practice in orthopedic postoperative rehabilitation. This paper aims to review the application forms, current status, existing issues, and recommendations for mobile health technology in post-operative orthopedic continuity care. It seeks to provide a reference for the scientific implementation of mobile health technology in continuity care for orthopedic patients in China.
