Exploration of the Application of Microteaching Combined with Quantitative Scoring Method in Skill Training of Infant Hip Joint Ultrasound

    Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of microteaching combined with quantitative scoring method in the skill training of Graf method for infant hip joint ultrasound. Methods Twelve physicians without hip joint ultrasound operation experience from the Department of Ultrasound of Beijing Fengtai Hospital between January and June 2024 were enrolled as the research subjects. A before-and-after self-control design was adopted, with a training cycle of 4 weeks (8 class hours). The traditional teaching method was applied in the 1st to 2nd weeks (Stage T0), and microteaching combined with quantitative scoring scale was adopted in the 3rd to 4th weeks (Stage T1). At the end of Stage T0 and Stage T1 respectively, blind evaluation was conducted on the physicians skill scores and independent operation rates; trainee satisfaction was investigated at the end of Stage T1. Results At the end of Stage T1, the physicians skill scores and independent operation rates were significantly higher than those at the end of Stage T0, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05), and the trainee satisfaction was relatively high. Conclusion Microteaching combined with quantitative scoring method can accurately identify the individual operational problems of physicians. Through targeted feedback and personalized training, it significantly improves the standardization of infant hip joint ultrasound operation and physicians independent diagnostic ability, which is worthy of popularization and application in skill training.
