Abstract: :The alignment relationship serves as a pivotal factor influencing the kinematic performance and clinical outcomes of total knee arthroplasty, ultimately impacting the quality of postoperative rehabilitation for patients with knee osteoarthritis. Establishing a safe, reliable, and stable alignment is crucial for medical personnel when planning surgical protocols and treatment strategies. Currently, a variety of alignment techniques are extensively utilized in total knee arthroplasty, encompassing kinematic alignment, mechanical alignment, anatomical alignment, adjusted mechanical alignment, restricted kinematic alignment, functional alignment, and inverse kinematic alignment. These techniques exhibit distinct advantages in terms of alignment accuracy and force line preservation, among other aspects. In light of this, this article provides an overview of these commonly employed alignment techniques, aiming to offer data support and guidance for research directions in selecting intraoperative alignment relationships for patients with knee osteoarthritis.
