Exploration of Reform in Practical Teaching of Medical Information Engineering Program Design Driven by the Integration of Competition and Education

    Abstract: Purpose/Significance Addressing the issue of weak medical software development abilities among medical information engineering students, this study explores the reform of programming course teaching through the integration of competition and education, aiming to cultivate engineering thinking and problem-solving abilities that meet industry demands. Methods/process Based on an analysis of learning conditions, a teaching process integrating competition and education is proposed. Taking the mobile application design course as an example, this paper elaborates on the reconstruction of course content reflecting professional characteristics, the construction of experimental cases, and the reform of teaching methods and teaching evaluation. Results/conclusion Students course design works exhibit distinct industry characteristics, and their academic competition scores have improved, verifying the effectiveness of the reform plan.
