A case report of EBV infection combined with positive anti-HEV IgM

  Abstract: Epstein-barr virus (EBV) is a human lymphocytophilic herpesvirus and a hepatophilic virus, which is common in children and adolescents, and is prone to immune cross-reaction with a variety of viruses (CMV, HEV, etc.), resulting in confusing serological results. This paper reports a case of EBV infection with anti-HEV IgM positive, in order to improve clinicians understanding of the immune cross-reaction induced by EBV infection with other viruses and guide the correct clinical decision.
