Abstract: Purpose/Significance To investigate the disciplinary information needs of medical students, and provide insights for the practice of medical disciplinary information services. Method/Process Based on the four elements of situation, gap, bridge, and uses in the theory of Sense-Making, this article conducts interview, coding, and key factor extraction on the disciplinary information needs of medical students through the micro-moment time-line interview method and the neutral questioning method. It constructs an information service model based on the disciplinary information needs of medical students. Result/Conclusion It is suggested to promote the sustainable development of medical disciplinary information services through reshaping the service model, optimizing the core of information services, emphasizing the professional competence training of librarians, extracting common needs of medical students, and formulating targeted special needs service approaches.
