Study on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Complicated with Malnutrition Based on the TCM Theory of Child Consumes Qi of Mother

• 摘要：慢性阻塞性肺疾病(COPD,简称慢阻肺)合并营养不良的发生率日益增高，通过研究其发生发展机制，发现营养不良状态不仅影响患者预后还会加重慢性阻塞性肺疾病患者病情的进展，中医能改善患者状态并兼顾协调脏腑功能。本文通过肺脾脏腑生理功能和病理联系，从“子盗母气”的角度来研究慢性阻塞性肺疾病合并营养不良的病机，以“培土生金、肺脾同治”为法，改善患者营养状态与临床结局。

  Abstract: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is increasingly associated with a high incidence of malnutrition. Research into its pathogenesis has revealed that a malnourished state not only adversely affects patient prognosis but also exacerbates the progression of COPD. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers an approach to improve patient conditions by addressing and harmonizing the functions of the internal organs. This article explores the pathogenesis of COPD complicated with malnutrition through the physiological functions and pathological connections between the lung and spleen, based on the TCM theory of the child organ (lung) stealing qi from the mother organ (spleen). Guided by the principle of Fortifying the Earth to Generate Metal (i.e., strengthening the spleen to nourish the lung), therapeutic methods such as strengthening the spleen and supplementing qi, transforming dampness through spleen activation, and simultaneously tonifying both the lung and spleen are employed to improve the nutritional status and clinical outcomes of patients.
