Abstract: Chinese medicine attainment (CMA) holds a pivotal role in the clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It not only directly influences the diagnosis and treatment capabilities of TCM physicians but also serves as the cornerstone for inheriting and developing TCM culture. This article delves into the significance of enhancing CMA within the Residency Training Program in TCM (RTP-TCM) and the Family Medicine Residency Training Program in TCM (FMRTP-TCM). It examines the current status of TCM knowledge acquisition, the challenges encountered, and the strategies employed to overcome them. By utilizing innovative classifications to optimize course content and teaching methods, incorporating the all-sensory perception teaching method of TCM, leveraging TCM museums, and integrating modern technological assistive teaching methods, the CMA of trainees has been enhanced. However, there remains a need for continuous improvement in teaching methods and curriculum design.
