Research Progress of Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor in the Treatment of Liver Failure

    Abstract: Liver failure is a high-risk and high-mortality disease, and its pathogenesis is not yet fully understood. As an important cytokine, granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) has an important role in the clinical treatment of liver failure. The aim of this review is to summarize and analyze the research progress in recent years on the mechanism of G-CSFs role in liver failure, including its effects on hepatocyte regeneration, immunomodulation, survival improvement, and safety of clinical use.
