Abstract: Objective: To analyze the drug use rule of Wu Zihui in treating insomnia by data mining technology. Method: Medical records diagnosed as insomnia admitted to Wu Zihui Outpatient Department of International Zhuang Medical Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2020 to March 2024 were collected. After standardized processing of the input medical records data on the cloud platform V2.3.9 of ancient and modern medical records, statistical analysis, cluster analysis and complex network analysis were carried out to summarize the experience of prescription medication and the rules of prescription formulation. Results: A total of 131 medical records were included, involving 143 traditional Chinese medicines. The main medicinal properties were cold and ping, the main medicinal tastes were sweet, bitter and xin, the main classics were heart and liver, and the 20 high-frequency medicinal tastes were Paeony, Baizhu and Fructus ligustris. Five cluster prescriptions were obtained by cluster analysis. The complex network analysis between drugs can conclude that the core drug prescription is Xiaoyao SAN combined with Erzhi pills, and the complex network analysis of Chinese medicine syndromes and drugs can obtain the two core Chinese medicine prescriptions of insomnia (liver fire disturbing heart syndrome and phlegm fire disturbing heart syndrome). Conclusion: Wu Zihui treated insomnia with the principles of soothing the liver and relieving depression, clearing heat and expelling fire, nourishing the heart and calming the mind, and tonifying the spleen and kidney.
