Abstract: Laryngopharyngeal reflux disease is common in clinical practice and involves multiple systems, including digestive and respiratory systems.Li Shouling is a disciple of the renowned traditional Chinese medicine master Professor Gan Zuwang, providing guidance for the inheritance of academic experience from veteran traditional Chinese medicine experts in Jiangsu Province.Li Shouling believes that this disease is always characterized by a fundamental deficiency and an external pathogenic factor.Dysfunction of liver and spleen is the root cause.Phlegm, fire, and stagnation is the pathogenic factors, and disordered qi movement is the basic pathogenic mechanism. In clinical treatment, the principle is to supplement and regulate qi,including: regulating the middle qi to assist in digesting phlegm and dampness;dispersing heat to clear the path for qi to rise and descend;promoting circulation of qi to open up stagnation and prevent over-regulating qi from damaging yin.By doing so,the liver and spleen functions are restored, the qi movement is coordinated, and the balance is restored. Then the disease will improve.
