  Abstract: : Necrosis of the femoral head, hip fracture, and knee replacement have become global public health challenges, as well as highly prevalent diseases in the elderly, and elderly patients undergoing hip fracture surgery are at a significantly higher risk of perioperative adverse events.

  Key words: fascia iliaca compartment block; enhanced recovery after surgery; hip arthroplasty; prophylactic analgesia; post operative nauseaand vomiting
