Application of “state-target-braid-evidence” in idiopathic oligoasthenospermia

    Abstract: Idiopathic oligoasthenospermia, characterized by unexplained male semen quality decline, is one of the primary causes of male infertility. Due to the unknown etiology, clinical treatment is very challenging with less than satisfactory outcomes. This paper explores the application of Professor Tong Xiaolin’s “State-Target Dialectics” therapeutic strategy, based on the clinical practice of “Kidney governing reproduction” in traditional medicine, to improve the treatment efficacy of idiopathic oligoasthenospermia. Referring to the traditional medical understanding of the condition and grasping the core pathogenesis of kidney essence insufficiency, the disease is considered a state of deficiency. Consequently, the targeted formula of Wu Zi Yan Zong Pill was preliminarily established. By targeting the disease state and selecting medications accurately based on modern pharmacological results of traditional Chinese medicine, the efficacy can be enhanced, providing a new idea for the integrated traditional Chinese an
